The Criw are now ready to teach the our pupils some new games in Welsh to enjoy during playtimes. Saint David’s Day Celebrations

Thank you to all for joining in with our school celebrations to mark St. David’s Day.

We began our Welsh Week with the whole school Eisteddfod.

Children performed their chosen Welsh songs beautifully and competition winners were presented with their prizes by Mrs Murphy.

The Criw Cymraeg had a tricky job to choose the competition winners of our art competition!

St. David’s Day 2022 – Y2 Mass Celebration

Year 2 celebrated a wonderful St. David’s Day Mass on Tuesday with Father Andrzej.

It was a special Mass where were able to take part by reading the Bidding Prayers.

We look forward to returning to Mass in Church in the future! We are very grateful that Father Andrzej brought the Mass to us in our classroom. What a special celebration to mark the Feast of Saint David.

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Sant Meithrin- Nursery

Happy Saint David’s Day!

As a Siater School we celebrate our Welshness daily, during this last week we have sprinkled a little bit of Welsh magic into almost everything!

It was uplifting to see our children dressed in Welsh national costumes on March 1st. Please take a look at our learning and celebrations.

Gwobr Efydd! We achieved our Bronze Award!

Llongyfarchiadau!

Staff and our Criw Cymraeg have worked extremely hard over the past two years to achieve 100 targets(!) that have developed and enriched our use of Welsh. The ‘Siarter Iaith’ has enabled us to fully immerse staff and most importantly, our children in our Welsh culture, heritage and language.

We are proud to be welsh and proud of our achievement!

At the end of the summer term, we had a special visit from Alison Streefland who, after spending a morning with our Criw and in our school, decided that we had in fact achieved our Gwobr Efydd, our Bronze Award!

What’s next? Y Wobr Arian! The Silver Award!
