We celebrated Saint David’s Day in style. The children measured, mixed, rolled and cut the dough into delicious Welsh cakes. They were then cooked on a traditional bake stone. Yum, yum!
First Century Biblical Meal
In class we have been discussing what it must have been like when Jesus lived on earth. What did the homes look like? What clothing did the people wear? What kinds of food did they eat?
After researching these questions we re-created our own first century biblical meal. Jesus told many parables during meal times, this was a wonderful opportunity to re-visit the parable of the Lost Sheep.
Nursery Trip to Margam Park
We headed off to Margam Park ready to explore and gather interesting things. We found lots of leaves, pine cones and acorns. The leaves made a super abacus, we recognised the number on the abacus sheet and added the correct amount of leaves.
Nature Concept
The children gathered twigs during Wellie Wednesday.
They organised the twigs and grouped them according to their size to make a boat. 
. The boats were placed in the water and we discussed floating and sinking.
Wellie Wednesday
The children have been discovering their senses. They have been focusing on their sense of smell. They carefully cut herbs in the sensory garden, chose what they favoured and made a room fragrance using a pestle and mortar.

We reflected on our RE topic Good News. The children sang and performed along with the chime bars to Holy Spirit Fills Me Up.

Jesus was lost, when Mary and Joseph found him at the temple, Jesus said to them ‘I belong in my Father’s House.
Zacchaeus the Tax Collector
This story teaches us how to forgive and love like Jesus.
Noah’s Ark
We listened to the story, as it unfolded we added the different animals. We discussed the promise God made to the people. It was a promise never to flood the earth again. Genesis 9
