Croeso – Welcome,
On behalf of all the children, parents, staff, and governors of St. Joseph’s Catholic Infant School, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you.
As a Catholic school, our faith is at the heart of everything we do. Every aspect of school life is rooted in Gospel values. Through Christ’s example, our children learn to value and respect themselves and others, and to enjoy life to the full.
As the only infant school in Neath Port Talbot, we understand the unique needs of very young children. We know that the early years lay the foundations for a child’s lifelong learning journey. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on creating a safe, caring environment where children can thrive.
Our dedicated staff combine high expectations and academic challenge with a nurturing approach that supports children’s wellbeing and social-emotional development. We use teaching methods that are appropriate for the Foundation Phase and Early Years, ensuring that learning is engaging, meaningful, and developmentally suited to young learners.
St. Joseph’s has a true family feel, where every child is celebrated for their uniqueness and encouraged to build positive relationships with peers and staff. We pride ourselves on being a highly inclusive community, strengthened by our close ties to the parish, which gives our children a sense of belonging to a wider faith family.
We also believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential. We hold regular events for families to share in your child’s milestones and achievements, and we welcome your involvement in school life.
I hope you find our website informative and helpful. You are warmly invited to make an appointment to visit us and see our vibrant learning community in action.
Diolch yn fawr! Mrs Barbara Murphy
