Our concept this term is BRAVERY. We were very lucky to receive a visit from our lovely, local Coastguards who gave us a talk all about their role.
They explained that the Coastguard service is made up of volunteers, who after many months of training, can become part of the service.
The children asked lots of wonderful questions such as,
“What has been your most dangerous rescue?”
“What has been your most dangerous animal rescue?”
The Coastguards explained how they not only rescue people who are in difficulty, but also animals.

Every child in the school was given a booklet about how to stay safe on the coast and of course – a sticker!
We are so grateful to the coastguard service for not only giving up their time to visit us in school, but for all that they do to keep us safe.
Diolch yn fawr!
